General Information Ridgefield is a small but growing community situated along the Interstate 5 corridor in northern Clark County approximately 10 miles north of Vancouver and 20 miles north of Portland, Ore. As a community, Ridgefield strives to manage growth while maintaining the friendliness and spirit of a small town. Budget: Approximately $14.2 Million. Population: The district serves more than 2,000 students. Mission: The Ridgefield School District will develop well-rounded students having the capacity to succeed in a technologically driven global society. The district will continue to create and sustain a safe and caring learning environment in which all students will meet or exceed state standards. The district will engage the community in school issues and seek community input in decision making. Vision: “The Ridgefield School District strives to deliver a superior educational program in a physically and emotionally safe environment preparing all students to be lifelong learners and responsible contributing citizens.
