General Information
Incorporation: Vancouver Port District, created by local taxpayers in 1912.
Voting District: District encompasses the Greater Vancouver area, and includes approximately 130,000 residents.
Current tax rate: $0.327 per $1,000 of assessed value – roughly 3.2 percent of all property taxes collected in the Vancouver Port District.
Mission: “To provide economic benefit to our community through leadership, stewardship and partnership in marine and industrial development.”
Annual Revenue: $127 million in 2008 (including $9 million from property tax receipts).
